You may or may not know this (depending on how long you have followed me on Instagram), but I actually used to be a mommy blogger. Yep. I blogged…and then I quit blogging…and then I started blogging again lol.
In my previous blogging days, blogging legitimately stressed me out. I was so caught up in how many words each blog post had to be, citing my sources, SEO (if you aren’t already familiar with this term don’t even bother Googling it because it’s way too confusing, even for a blogger), and all the other things. I felt like I had to do what every other mommy blogger was doing, and it really took away my authenticity. I was never able to find my own voice.
Not to mention, y’all know I am huge health nut so I blogged about natural health, especially for children, and it was not very well received by the other mommy bloggers who were getting paid to post blogs about Children’s Tylenol, Orajel, Johnson&Johnson, or other non-natural children’s product.
It was rough to say the least, so one day I just stopped. I am firm believer in letting go of what is no longer serving you, and blogging was definitely not serving me.
Very recently, a few months ago actually, I sort of fell back into it. I knew I wanted to have a website for my business, and had intentions on podcasting, so I wanted to have a “hub” if you will for people to go to and connect with me.
I had no idea at the time what I was going to do with it or write about, but one day I just started writing. The topics, the words, all of it just came to me. So I sat down, and started typing it all out.
I didn’t feel the pressure to cite my sources. In fact most of my posts don’t even have sources because I share from my own personal experience rather than worrying about inauthentic information. This has also really helped me be sincere and true to who I am instead of trying to fit the mold of everyone else.
I don’t even know why all of this inspiration hit me when it did, but I feel like there is a very special reason it did. I feel like I am being drawn to the blogging world again to share my personal experiences and help you through this messy thing called life.
My intentions for this blog is to inspire you. My mission and goal in life is literally to inspire everyone to become the best version of themselves That’s why I share everything with you, the good, the bad, the ugly. I want to be real and connect with you on all levels.
I want to share style tips with you, because let’s face it when we become mom’s our go-to outfit includes yoga pants and a dirty tee.
I want to share beauty tips with you, because I want you to feel as beautiful as the world sees you.
I want to share mindset tips with you to encourage you to expand your opportunities and grow as a person.
I want to share health tips with you to inspire you to put your health (and of course your families health) above everything else.
I want to share business tips with you because I believe there is a #bossbabe in each and every single one of us just waiting to come out and take over the world.
I want to share lifestyle tips with you because let’s face it, adulting is SO freaking hard sometimes.
I want to share all of this with you because you have so much potential, and I want to help you see it within yourself.
Let me end this post with saying that I truly appreciate each and every single one of you who take the time to read these words of mine, who are motivated to become the best version of you. Us ladies need to stick together. We need to support one another. We need to lift each other up.
