Blue Light Glasses Benefits Ashlee Jaine

Blue light glasses are all the rave lately. I can’t even tell you how many of my Instagram friends I have seen posting super cute pictures in these super cute blue light glasses that come in all different shapes and styles.

But guess what y’all, there are so many benefits to these blue light glasses that go beyond their cuteness! And that is what I am going to share here with you today.

A few months back I started to get pretty bad headaches, which is rare for me, so it was tough trying to pinpoint exactly what was causing them until the third or fourth time it happened. It was then that I realized the correlation between my headaches and the amount of time I had spent looking at a screen that day (which was basically all day).

So I started digging into it and came across blue light protection glasses that actually block the harmful blue light projected from cell phones, tablets, TV’s, etc. I was sold as soon as I started reading about them, because I remembered my daughter’s optometrist telling me the benefits of this protective layer that we could add to her new prescription glasses to reflect bad lighting from devices.

When I started shopping around for a pair, I was literally blown away by the prices. Under $20? Um score! So I ordered the cutest pair of blue light glasses that I could find (leopard print frames of course) and have been in love with them ever since!

The only time I have gotten headaches since buying them, was when I wasn’t wearing them. When I actually wear them, the headaches are completely gone. And I love that I can even see the glasses reflecting the blue light away from my eyes. It’s pretty awesome to see them work for you.

If you wear prescription glasses or sunglasses, you can get the blue light protection added to your lens for an additional (small fee), which is totally worth it in my opinion. If you wear contacts or don’t need a prescription lens, I am linking some of my favorite blue light glasses in different styles for you!

We only have one set of eyes, so we need to take care of them. We use technology more now than ever, and that isn’t going to change anytime in the near future. We depend on these devices for everything from getting work done to a quick Google search for a good lasagna recipe, and until these innovative companies can find a way to reduce or eliminate harmful light it is our responsibility to keep our eyes protected from it!
