Texican Court

To say that my trip to Dallas last week was a dream, is a serious understatement. It was so amazing! We had so much fun connecting, doing photoshoots, eating yummy foods, lots of laughter, and fun events.

The girl’s I went with were so incredible and sweet. It was honestly such a great experience in and of itself to spend the weekend with the two of them. Let' me introduce them to you before I share more about the trip!

Lauren is the cutest twin mom of two precious boys from Ft. Worth. She’s actually the one who found the adorable hotel we stayed at (Texican Court). She blogs about fashion, parenting, and everything in between. If you don’t already, go follow her Insta @raisingtinytexans.

Mary from @yourtrendytherapist (go follow her too) is here with me in Austin. She is an Occupational Therapist, wife, and dog mom of the two cutest cutest pups in the world. Her feed is filled with gorgeous colors as she shares her colorful fashion finds, travel adventures, and super fun and bright personality.

Ok so back to the weekend recap. Basically we did all the fun things and had a blast doing them!

Our weekend started out by checking into the cutest hotel imaginable called Texican Court. Literally this hotel was the most Instagrammable hotel I have ever stayed at. It is a boutique hotel right outside of Dallas in Irving, TX and close to so many fun things like the Toyota Music Factory where they host a ton of great concerts.

Once we got checked in we headed to the Two Mules restaurant inside the hotel and had ourselves the cutest little Poptails Party with cocktails (mine was virgin of course) that had popsicles in them along with some yummy appetizers from the restaurant and then called it a night because we were all so tired.

We started the next day with a breakfast at the hotel and filled our bellies so we had the energy we needed for our photoshoot there at the Texican Court. The photoshoot was amazing, and ran so much more smoothly than it does when my husband or my 9 year old are snapping the pictures lol.

Then we headed out to lunch at Flower Child (one of my fave healthy restaurant options) and then off to Myx Blend Bar where we created our own custom color and lipstick/lip gloss. It was seriously such a fun experience. We customized the color, the scent, what kind of finish it had, and even added a few fun things like lip plumper to it!

We went back to the hotel for dinner at Two Mules again and then to wind down by the pool and I am pretty sure we were in bed by like 8 pm that night. Don’t judge (insert grandma emoji here).

The pictures that we got over the weekend turned out SO good! because the Texican Court was so photogenic. I seriously couldn’t get over all the thought and detail that was put into designing and decorating. Everything from the trash cans to the alarm clocks were custom to fit in with the whole Texican decor and theme they had throughout the hotel. We took pictures with the robes, the doors, the pool, and even the refrigerator. Yes, you read that right, Mary from @yourtrendytherapist got her picture taken with the refrigerator because it was that awesome.

I’m telling y’all every single detail was so carefully thought out, and the amazingness of the hotel didn’t end with the decor either. The staff were so friendly and helpful. As soon as I checked out, I found myself planning another trip to Dallas just so I could stay at Texican Court again because it was such a blast.

I will let the pictures speak for themselves on how cute this place was but seriously, the hotel itself is worth a trip to Dallas. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
