3 TIPS TO INCREASE YOUR PRODUCTIVITY.png

Life is busy. We are constantly being pulled in a number of different directions with new demands being asked of us every. single. day. We are left trying to figure out how to piece it all together, how to make it all work without losing our minds or paying a miracle worker $1 million dollars to add more hours to our day.

Take it from a wife, mother, and small business owner, juggling your day to day life can be very tricky if you don't have a solid plan or routine in place. I am going to share my best tip with you to help you not only tackle your to do list, but stay on top of your game so you can stress less and do more with ease.

  1. Get organized - If you are all over the grid with post its on the fridge. crumpled up pieces of paper in your purse, and lipstick writing on your bathroom mirror for things that you need to remember and get done (I am saying this from personal experience), it is time to get organized my sweet friend. Buy yourself a few notebooks/file folders for each category of your life that you are responsible for remembering/doing things (example from my real life: bills, PTA, work, football/cheer board, etc). And don't forget your handy dandy yearly planner! It's time to start keeping all of the info together to make it easier to process!

  2. Plan in advance - If you aren't a planner, the time has come for you to become a planner! At the very least you should be planning your next day the night before. If you want to really be on the ball with everything you have going on, try planning a week or even month in advance. That way when life throws you curve balls along the way (and trust me curve balls will be thrown) you will be ready for them and able to deal with them much better because you have a solid grasp on everything that is currently happening and coming up.

  3. Develop a solid morning routine - One of the best things that you can do is to develop a morning routine to keep your productivity, energy, and self love level high. Start your day off by waking up a little bit earlier than you normally would, stretch and take time to listen to or read something that inspires you and brings you joy. It is important to have this time to yourself to clear your mind and ground yourself before the chaos of the day begins. Follow that up with getting ready for the day and planning to tackle your most important or least favorite tasks of the day to get them out of the way first (this is a very important step in being productive). Afterwards you will have time and a clear sense of direction (thanks to that list you planned out the night before) of things that you need to get done for the day.

I know how cliche this sounds, but truly if you fail to plan you plan to fail. You must be organized, prepared, and have the right mindset to be productive and proactive with your day/life. When you don't do these things you are only reacting to the things that come your way, leaving you feeling stretched too thing, unprepared, and overwhelmed.
